Yin Yang Yoga The practice of Yin Yang Yoga - combines both stillness and movement. Finding balance between yin (passive) and yang (active) allows us to work with both deep tissue networks and the stretching and strengthening of muscles. We will move through a series of positions that invite calm, space and grounding for both mind and body.

My Yoga Journey
My mum took me along to my first yoga classes when I was eleven, believing it would provide us some time to switch off and help to keep our bodies healthy in the meantime. I immediately fell in love with the practice - both the physical and mindful aspects that I was introduced to. Thanks to her, I was able to continue practicing until I left home for University. When I moved away, I stopped practicing as other things in my life took over. It took me a few years to realise that I felt lost and that perhaps it was because I had overlooked the impact that yoga had on me. I naturally returned to the practice, reading about it, drawing poses, practicing asanas and mindfulness. It wasn’t long before I travelled to Darjeeling in India and completed my teacher training. It was a life changing time and yoga has been part of my life in some form ever since. Over the years, I became interested in Yin yoga and trained in this in a beautiful part of Italy. Having been based in South Lakes for a few years now, I’m lucky to be surrounded by nature and find myself grounded by observing the seasonal changes continually happening around me.
